With no veteran QB on the sidelines that could plausibly start and win games if needed, Harbaugh is hitching his wagon completely to Alex Smith this year. With the truncated offseason and a brand new coaching staff and offense philosophy, I imagine a slow start to the season until some cohesion is built and more plays can be implemented into the offensive gameplan. If the offense can click with Alex and they are 3-3 by the bye, the division will be quite attainable. But if Alex flames out or gets injured, we will be strong contenders in the Luck sweepstakes with two rookie QBs taking snaps.

Bryan: Thanks I've been lurking around but summer in the moving business, Brittany, and the Wire posed difficulties for my blog contributions.Russhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15119118445277628126noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1338464331588642586.post-75470064827226671972011-09-09T13:21:02.865-04:002011-09-09T13:21:02.865-04:00Peyton's second surgery just freed up a lot of...Peyton's second surgery just freed up a lot of MVP votes for somebody out there, like Ohio or PA in a Presidential election.

Also, welcome back, Russ.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05841282055513560945noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1338464331588642586.post-340587386835388702011-09-08T22:18:13.620-04:002011-09-08T22:18:13.620-04:00Maybe the starting of Alex Smith is a strategic mo...Maybe the starting of Alex Smith is a strategic move by Harbaugh to have a shitteous season and land Luck (I don't think he inspires a lot of confidence in his teammates with his worm killers). Or maybe the other options just aren't that great. Either way, your still in better shape than Oakland.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18154553815666186170noreply@blogger.com
