The first casualty in the managerial deathwatch is Willie Randolph, who was fired as manager of the Mets at 3:30 a.m. ET. Randolph's firing was announced from the West Coast, after a 9-6 win over the Angels, which stops it from the being the front page story on all the New York tabloids. Yet it doesn't stop the New York Daily News from making a mockery of Willie's jobless situation. Yes that is the actual headline over at New York Daily News, with that you would of expected him to be the one who can't pitch, hit, or field. But alas someone had to take the blame and this time Willie got the finger pointed at him. Jerry Manuel the ex-manager of the White Sox will take over as interim manager for the time being. Expect Willie to end up in Texas or Kansas City or as a bench coach for the Yankees. Atleast his fall from grace wasn't as far as Rainbow Randolph's. (Video maybe NSFW, or Not Safe For Work)
