A couple weeks ago we posted the interview of Barack Obama on ESPN. Bob Ley recently caught up with Presidential nominee John McCain for an interview. The interview aired today on "Sportscenter." Here it is thanks to Awful Announcing
In my opinion, Bob Ley really should have done both interviews. Even when he is throwing softballs he does it skillfully, and that is an attribute Stuart Scott has never really attained.

I have to say that Stuart Scott did just as good of a job as Ley. Ley takes a more serious tone possibly, but it's a fluff piece. Scott's tone with Obama was casual, but still touched on some serious issues.
September 16, 2008 at 10:28 PMI also find it ironic that traditionally Republicans and conservatives are for less gov't, and Democrats and liberals are painted as being for more gov't, but in these interviews, Obama speaks out against gov't involvement in sanctioning professional sports, while McCain comes out for it in boxing and baseball pretty much. I like pointing these things out because it's usually conservatives who want these labels to stick when the last eight years have completely reversed such labels.
