The answer is none of the above, the blame should fall squarely on offensive coordinator Dave Clawson. For passing 41 times with a first year starter on the road. For being 2nd and short and routinely calling pass plays. I understand he wants to run his Clawfense in a particular fashion, but with an inexperienced QB and a stable of healthy talented backs, you have to lean on the run more. I figured after the offensively bad first half we would continue to keep pounding UCLA and it would eventually lead to their submission. But no we had to get Crompton involved. Voluntears are flowing in Tennessee today and its all Daves' fault.

At this point we all know what happened, Tennessee imploded and Kevin Craft suddenly turned into Troy Aikman. And as a Tennessee fan, it is tough to pinpoint who is most to blame for the Volunteers colossal failure. Is the offense guilty due to their ineptitude to take advantage of the four interceptions thrown in the first half? Was it the punting teams fault for allowing a punt to be blocked and returned for a touchdown? Is Jonathan Crompton worthy of the blame for throwing only 19-41 and routinely throwing inaccurate balls to his receivers? Can the onus be placed on Daniel Lincoln for missing 3 field goals including the potential game tying field goal in OT? Could it be blamed on the defense for not shutting down Kevin Craft and the Bruins offense when it mattered most? What about Arian Foster for fumbling inside the 5?
