Brees completely picked apart the Raider defense, throwing 26-30 for 320 yards and three touchdowns. Of his four incompletions, two were throwaways. He also kept everyone involved, completing passes to nine different players. Brees succeeded in ruining Tom Cables first game as head coach of the Oakland Raiders by leading the Saints to a 34-3 win.
