Butch Davis' Future Career Paths

July 27, 2011

North Carolina football coach Butch Davis is most likely out according to this Greg Barnes article at Inside Carolina, which leaves his future open to speculation. Here's a list of the five most suitable jobs that come to mind when I think of Butch Davis (in no particular order):

1) Sporting Goods Salesman--It would allow him to play the good ol' boy, relate stories about his glory days, and to continue wearing the same wardrobe.

2) Middle School Principal--See number one, only he gets to walk around pretending to be every snot-nosed seventh grader's long lost military daddy.

3) Pizza Hut Manager--He could walk around table to table yapping about the good ol' days while take sips of Coca-cola out of your kid's red cup--you know, the kind that's too fancy to be just plastic but not nice enough to be an actual glass.

4) Travel Agent--It just seems fitting that he could make a lot of hubbub doing something that you could have done for yourself.

5) N.C. State Basketball Coach--Put him in a red sports jacket and he seems immensely qualified.

And, by all means, feel free to make suggestions.
