Year in Review: Eat, Prey, Dinosaur

Indominus Rex (voiced by Julia Roberts) had everything a modern genetically engineered dinosaur that never actually existed is supposed to dream of having - a security guard, a playpen with thermal sensors, a crane with a meat hook - yet like so many dinosaurs that were actually part of the historical record, she found herself lost, confused, and rampaging for what she really wanted in life. 

Newly escaped and at a crossroads in Isla Nublar, Central America, with all the other genetically engineered dinosaurs created by the InGen Company, Indominus Rex steps out of her comfort zone, escapes thermal detection, and risks everything to change her life, embarking on a journey not quite around the world that becomes a quest for self-discovery and immense carnage. 

In her travels, she discovers the true pleasure of nourishment by devouring the entire food chain; the power of communicating with velociraptors, and, finally and unexpectedly, the inner peace and balance to be found in the belly of a much larger dinosaur that emerges from the depths of the ocean as the almighty face of God and love, reminding her that something much larger and more dangerous is always waiting to be discovered beyond the limits of the known world.
