Mavericks-Wizards Trade: "Excursion into Philosophy"

February 14, 2010

From time to time, we tend to use Ed Hopper paintings as a magnifying glass for studying the ins and outs of the NBA.  The recent Dallas-Wizards trade that saw Caron Butler, Brendan Haywood, and DeShawn Stevenson sent to Dallas for Josh Howard and Drew Gooden calls for us to do this once again.

Gilberta lay on the bed motionless, passed out, not wearing any underwear.  Anyone walking into the room would have quickly seen everything she had to offer, decent legs and a butt that now sagged more than it once did.  Not impressive.  Not yet repulsive.  She was in limbo.

Jamison Addresses Crowd at the Phone Booth

January 9, 2010

LCB hasn't posted, or commented, much on the guns in the locker room fiasco that's unravelled an already frustrated franchise, the Washington Wizards, but we thought this video worth posting. Call it nervousness for public speaking, trepidation about his team's future, or overall unease with the entire situation, but Antawn Jamison does not sound at ease to me here. One must wonder what's going on inside his head. Is his interest to stay, or does he now want a trade? I would love for him to stay because I live a half hour from DC, and Jamison is one of my favorite players; but I don't see how anyone could blame this loyal soldier for wanting to move somewhere where the battles on the court, as opposed to in the court, are the ones that matter.

Time Waster: Wiz debate Russian cooking

October 15, 2008

Oleksiy Pecherov is slowly becoming my favorite baller that is not affiliated with the Lakers. He really has all the qualities I look for in a player that I decide to root for; great nickname (the big oily, the white hole, and big baby stewie), foreign, no one can spell his name, he gets buckets son, and he can dance. In the following video, Antawn Jamison shares his dislike of Russian sandwiches, and Pech decidely holds it down for mother Russia by calling him out.
