When ESPN showed the Packers taking the field before the game, it was Aaron Rodgers welcoming every player to Lambeau with high fives. ESPN then cut to commercial, a commercial featuring a certain quarterback and his now infamous wrangler jeans, even capitalism has it out for Green Bay fans, but after tonight, I can live with denim sewed in sweatshops and Madden covers that taunt me in my sleep.
I can live with the Aaron Rodgers era. I don't need to see anymore. I can buy into this quarterback. I know there will be games where I curse his name, but right now, his doing the Lambeau Leap is the first time I've been remotely excited or happy about football in a long time.
We have a defense. We have Ryan Grant. We have all our receivers; and we also have a quarterback who is confident playing from the shadows of a legend. This season just got a lot more exciting than talking about closed door meetings, text messages, depression, who to blame, and broken hearts. Ladies and gentlemen, we have hope.

Green and gold has run in my veins a long time. I did wonder how I would react to Favre not being there but I am excited about the upcoming season. The Pack continues to be an amazing franchise.
