LCB NFL Picks: Week 12

November 22, 2008

+5.5 New York Jets(7-3) @ Tennessee Titans(10-0): Langston's Pick: I am still not sold on the Jets, but then again the only time I have watched them this season is when they lost to the Raiders in overtime. Which was quite possibly the ugliest NFL game of all-time. Plus I can't pick against the Titans, I really want to see that undefeated-winless match-up on Thanksgiving day. I could see the Jets winning this, but the Titans have a slight edge in almost every fact of the game. Titans win but don't cover. LCG's Pick: Titans by 7.

+1 Carolina Panthers(8-2) @ Atlanta Falcons(6-4):
Langston's Pick: This will be a good if not great game. The Panthers have owned this match-up of late, winning 3 out of the last 4 which included a 24-9 win in September. This isn't the same Falcons team, but the Panthers beat them handily without Steve Smith and I don't see any reason why that would change on Sunday. Panthers by 3. LCG's Pick: The Falcons have finally come back together after the trials and tribulations of 2006-2007. I can admire a team when they find it in themselves to overcome adversity by rising from the depths of despair. It is a great show of human spirit, Falcons by 3.

-3 New York Giants(9-1) @ Arizona Cardinals(7-3): Langston's Pick: The Giants look like a Super Bowl lock at this point, but I really like Kurt Warner getting his revenge in this game. Cardinals with the upset win over the Giants, as they get ever so close to clinching the division. LCG's Pick: The Giants are rolling and Warner isn't getting his revenge any time soon. As I can't see a team that barely survives against the Niners beating the defending Super Bowl champs. Giants by 7.

+3 Indianapolis Colts(6-4) @ San Diego Chargers(4-6): Langston's Pick:I like the Colts to beat the Chargers on Sunday night. Peyton rarely loses games in November and the Chargers look like a totally different team with Merriman out and LT on the decline. Colts by 3. LCG's Pick: Colts, Pey-Pey keeps his teams playoffs hopes alive.

+3 Green Bay Packers(5-5) @ New Orleans Saints(5-5): Langston's Pick: The Saints play terrific in home night games, but Drew Brees seems to be the only Saint bringing it consistently week to week. I like the Packers to win this game by 2, and keep their chances at winning the Norris alive. LCG's Pick: The Saints play good at home, and this could be the moment we see the Saints come back to life. Saints by 6.
