Because it happened in the Playoffs against the defending Super Bowl champs, you'd have to go back to the days of Earl Campbell to find a run that was not only this good but felt this good. The magnitude of the moment made this run feel like something that could only happen in a video game, especially when one considers that Marshawn Lynch's career has consisted of being a fantasy sleeper to tradable laughing stock and disappointment. Now, he's the stiff arm immortalized, in concrete, in plasma--he's a freak.

Oh, and one last question, what is it about Matt Hasselbeck that he can run down field on a play like Marshawn Lynch's touchdown run blocking all the way, but if he so much as gets bumped by a defender, it always appears to be career ending? Strange are his super powers, strange indeed.

I love how the one Raiders blocker just went to the sideline and watched as Bo starts going backwards. Its unexplainable how Lynch just stiff armed that guy 5 yards down field. I can't stop watching it. The force of the stiff arm actually pushed Lynch back two yards and he almost falls down. I vote Lynch run.
January 9, 2011 at 12:50 PMI would say the Marcus Allen Super Bowl run is the still best run in playoff history. But this is close right there with the Riggins TD run.
This play reminded me of a Garrison Hearst 96 yard TD run when on the Niners to win an overtime game against the Jets. Its on Youtube and has many similarities to the Lynch run without much of the importance.
One of the greatest runs of all-time or one of the worst displays of tackling? Probably a mixture of both. Either way, it was an amazing backbreaking play.
