Amar'e Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony got to the Prom only to have the liquor they took from their daddy's cabinet upset their stomachs. Drink too much of anything, whether it be alcohol or hype, and you can find your worldview shaped by porcelain.
Maybe too much was given up for a brand name that is rusting from the inside, like a Model T in the age of hybrids.
Perhaps certain coaches should refrain from verbally banishing players capable of 21 and 12, in the Playoffs, to Minnesota, especially if said player were to play for Minnesota then said player and the Timberwolves would be running the Iditarod through the Playoffs.
And that the wall of Garnett, Pierce, and Allen still stands, like the bare stone knuckles of an ancient empire.

The last minute of Game 1 decided this series. Billups got hurt never to return and that bogus offensive foul against Carmelo set up the Ray Allen 3 to win. Disappointing because I'm ready for this Celtics team to go away.
April 24, 2011 at 9:49 PMI really thought this would be a great series until Billups went down. You're 100% right about how and when this series was lost. The Knicks never had the size either, really, to make the Celtics feel enough pressure inside.
April 24, 2011 at 10:51 PMWhat's crazy too is that the Hawks are on the verge of rendering size in the Eastern Conference this postseason pointless.
